Moon Looks More And More Amazing With Every Clip I See

Moon looks to be an incredible Science Fiction film.  Please note there that I said Science Fiction, and not Sci-fi.  This isn't going to be your standard sci-fi action/adventure shoot 'em up with Aliens.  No, Moon looks to be a hell of a lot more in the style of 2001: A Space Odyssey.  It's a character driven story about a miner on the moon, played by Sam Rockwell, who is forced to deal with extreme isolation for an extended period of time as he does his job.  His only companion is the station's AI which is voiced by Kevin Spacey.

Of course, things on the station aren't exactly what they seem, and strange events start to unfold.  And to make matters worse, the AI may or may not be lying to the main character.

The film looks to have elements of many other great Science Fiction films before it.  Aside from the aforementioned 2001 and it's obvious references to HAL, I also get a feeling of the isolation that was delivered so excellently in the original Alien film as well as a bit of a Blade Runner vibe as well.

The film is directed by Duncan Jones, who happens to be the son of David Bowie.  It's been getting rave reviews at the film festivals it has screened at, and is set for a limited release in the US in June.
