The Anatomical Workings Of A Lego Man

Artist Jason Freeny has created this strangely compelling piece detailing the inner anatomical workings of your standard LEGO Mini Fig.  What creeps me out about this the most though is that, according to the poster, the little round plug thing at the top of his head is made up purely of skin.  There's no bone in that thing at all.

It just makes me wonder why a creature would evolve with such perfectly round skin flap on the tops of their heads.  What the hell do they use them for?

If you check out Mr. Freeny's website, he's also got anatomical breakdowns for balloon animals and gummi bears.  It's pretty strange stuff.
