Office Space In.....Space?

Probably not, but Ron Livingston (the star of Office Space) has signed on to star in a new scifi series called Defying Gravity.  The show will be a 13 episode mini-series and is being co-produced by Fox, Canada's CTV, the BBC and a German company called ProSieben.  Details of what the show will be about have been vague.  Thus far, this is all we know:

Gravity, from creator and executive producer James Parriott (Grey's Anatomy) and executive producer Michael Edelstein (Desperate Housewives), is set in the near future and revolves around eight astronauts from five countries who take on a mysterious six-year mission through the solar system. German actress Florentine Lahme also has been cast.

While the names Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives don't exactly make one think of great scifi programming, I will have faith in Ron Livingston's choice to star in the show as a mark that it may be good.  He's got a knack for being in some awesome projects like the aforementioned Office Space, HBO's Band of Brothers, Swingers.  The guy picks good stuff (Sex & The City not included), so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here.
