Poor Porkins, forever will he be mocked for having an unfortunate name
For those of you who don't remember Jek Porkins, he was a very minor character in the original Star Wars. He was an X-Wing pilot in red squadron (they weren't called Rogue Squadron until Empire Strikes Back) who got show down and crashed into the Death Star.
What makes him memorable is the unfortunate name given to him by George Lucas. Porkins was a big man. Some may call him fat, others I suppose could call him porky. Either way, Lucas named the fat pilot Porkins, thus showing he really wasn't that good a writer even back in the day.
The above video is a really funny bit explaining why exactly Porkins crashed into the Death Star. He was apparently too busy eating.
This kids, is why you don't eat and drive.
