More Halo movie concept art

Continuing from an earlier post here at geek-tastic, latinoreview.com has released another piece of Halo movie concept art.  Mind you this isn't actually concept art from a movie that is being made.  It is just one artist's fan art based on a the book Halo: Fall of Reach.  It was done to go along with a possible movie script by the book's author Eric Nylund for a possible presentation to Microsoft he may or may not ever make in the hopes of possibly getting a Halo movie made.

All of those possibles though still haven't stopped Microsoft from threatening Latino Review with a take-down notice due to what they see as copyright infringement.

I honestly don't understand why Microsoft would have a problem with this.  It's free publicity for something they haven't even done.  It's generating excitement about a movie project they're not even working on.  You'd think they'd be looking at this and getting motivated to get a movie done since the fan interest is obviously out there.  But I guess I just don't understand how a giant corporation thinks.

Anyhow, you can see a hi-res version of the pic here.  The art shows a training sequence/flashback from the book where Master Chief and the other Spartans are trained as kids to be super soldiers.  I believe that is most likely the Master Chief himself going for the trophy at the top of the wooden pyramid.
