Geek-tastic's wonderful new logo
A few days ago you may have noticed that I made a few small changes to the visual appearance of the website. This was the first of many changes and upgrades that are planned going forward. By far the best thing added in the recent update was the addition of Geek-tastic's own logo character.
Many many thanks go to my good Friend Gustavo for creating such an awesome character. The goal of the character's design was to glorify as many geeky things as possible, yet maintain the idea that the character is cool, not some bad geek stereotype. I think Gus managed to do that perfectly. Our logo character has a ton of geek paraphernalia, but he doesn't come across as a wimpy nerd who will get beaten up. He's a bit of a hipster with traces of badass thrown in.And that's the goal of this site, to glorify all things geeky and to be proud of our collective geek nature.
Let me know what you think of the character? Do you like him, dislike him, think he needs a friend? I'd love to hear your opinion. There's been some talk of creating a female counterpart for him. Would you like to see that? He also needs a name, do you have any suggestions?

I think he definately needs a girlfriend, if you are trying to remove the negative stereotype. She shouldn't be Ivy (soul calibur), though. Try something a little more real-girl-like.
