I Ain't Afraid Of No Ghosts
I've reported previously that the totally amazing looking Ghostbusters video game that was in production was unfortunately put on the shelf. However, that news seems to have changed and the game now has a definite release date of July 2009.
The above video is a new trailer that has also been released for the game, and it looks even more frakking awesome than the previous footage we've seen. Just hearing Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Bill F'n Murray voicing the original characters again made me experience a moment of geeky ecstasy. I only hope and pray that the game has 4 player co-op play. If there was ever a game designed for 4 player awesomeness, it's the Ghostbusters game. Just imagine how freaking awesome it would be to work with your friends to surround and trap ghosts. It would be like living out a childhood fantasy.
After watching the trailer I find myself totally wishing that there was more than just the new game coming out. How awesome would it be if the original actors were to provide the voices for a 3D CG movie of the Ghostbusters (TMNT style)? If done right, that would be just about the damned coolest animated movie I've seen in years. Someone needs to start an online petition to get this thing made.
To see more from what will probably be next years coolest game, you should check out the game's official site.
