Hey there folks, the Geek-tastic Podcast is back . . . . . sort of.

This isn't a full episode of the podcast. Think of this as more of a continuation/rebuttal of the last episode of the podcast. In Episode 3 Matt, Robert and myself did a lengthy review of the Watchmen film and we were all pretty much in agreement that the film kicked ass.
However, not everyone out their shares that view with us. In fact, feelings about the film are pretty mixed to say the least. Some people love it, some people hate it, and others still feel entirely bored or neutral by the film. In an attempt to be more balanced here at Geek-tastic, we've gone ahead and done this new edition of the Podcast in which we include a different view than those shared in Episode 3. For the podcast, I am joined by special guest Wes Strather as we debate the finer points of the film.
I, as you know, loved the film. Wes didn't really care for it all that much. What follows is a very fun, very respectful debate over whether Watchmen is a good film or not. How do you feel about the film? Give this episode a listen and let us know what you think. I'd love to discuss this further in the comments.
On a side note, I just wanted to share something Matt Jeffrey sent me regarding Alan Moore's view of the film. This is a quote from Alan Moore himself referring to screenwriter David Hayter's script for the film adaptation of his comic book.
David Hayter's screenplay was as close as I could imagine anyone getting to Watchmen. That said, I shan't be going to see it. My book is a comic book. Not a movie, not a novel. A comic book. It's been made in a certain way, and designed to be read a certain way: in an armchair, nice and cozy next to a fire, with a steaming cup of coffee. Personally, I think that would make for a lovely Saturday night.
At one point during the podcast, we refer to a Watchmen Motion Comic DVD. Follow the link to check out what we're talking about.
And if you're at all amused by the above picture of the Watchmen as they would appear if they were from an animated series from the late 80's, then you really need to watch this video. Be warned th0ugh. It's bad. Like, really really bad. But it is also hilarious. You've been warned.
