It's true both in the comics and in the movie industry. The Dark Knight is just plain unbeatable. No matter how much money Spider-man or the X-Men or any of those Avengers make with their films, none of them come close to topping the absolute comic book king of Hollywood. As if there was any doubt that it could be anyone but Batman.

I didn't much care for the chart overall though as it completely left out a ton of comic book films like Hellboy and V for Vendetta and countless others, but I couldn't help but love the above image of Batman lording over Spidey and Wolverine in regards to total box office gross. I just had to share.
