I previously posted a while back that I was really unhappy with the new Star Trek movie posters that were being released here in the US. They looked bland and kind of lame. I had bemoaned their lack of action and style, and was generally saddened that we wouldn't get cool posters that compared to the previous film's posters.
Well, Paramount has release some new poster images and I have good news and bad news. The good news is the posters look awesome. The bad news is that we aren't going to be seeing them at your local cinema. These posters are only for International release.
Just look at the above poster and revel in its awesomeness. That is what a Star Trek poster is supposed to look like. You have dramatic images of the cast, it's action packed, and the USS Enterprise looks like it's getting the shit kicked out of it. That's what I was hoping for! I am now made even sadder that the US posters are so pathetic when compared to the greatness that International audiences will get to enjoy.

While this poster is more akin to a disaster movie poster than it is to a Star Trek poster, at least it's more action packed than the boring silhouette poster that US theaters are getting.
