GI Joe: Resolute Will Air On Adult Swim This Month
Do you remember a long while back when I posted about an awesome new GI Joe cartoon that was coming out at some point in the future? It was called GI Joe: Resolute and it was supposed to be an adult centered, PG-13 to R rated series that would basically be a more adult version of the GI Joe cartoon series that many of us grew up loving as kids. Also, it was being written by Warren Ellis.
Well, it's FINALLY coming out. The good folks over at the Terrordome have pointed out that Adult Swim is set to air the GI Joe: Resolute series this month. More specifically, the show will air on April 26th at Midnight. That's a Saturday night/Sunday morning air time, so be sure to either set your DVR's or Tivo's or just plan on staying up late.
I'm going to go ahead and go on record right now and say that GI Joe: Resolute is going to be about a billion times cooler than the crappy live-action film is going to be. Do you know how I know this? Well, for starters Cobra Commander looks like he should. The picture above is of Cobra Commander's toy from the series. That alone already makes this show better than the movie.
If you need any more reasons, just remember that GI Joe: Resolute will look like this.
Yeah, I read that around the time I originally posted the first article. It sounds great. I think my favorite part, other than the Moscow conversation is when Warren Ellis said this about his lack of GI Joe knowledge. "The closest I got to a GI JOE comic was drinking with Larry Hama"
